11 Persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur on Wednesday. Ten of them are from Imphal East, officials said. They came to Imphal on a special train from Chennai recently. Manipur again becomes an orange zone after 20+ positive cases

Now the total number of positive covid-19 cases stands above 20 in the state. Manipur has been shifting stranded students and workers from different parts of India on special trains. All of them are kept in quarantine centers for 14 days. They will be in quarantine for 14 days more after their samples are tested. COVID-19

The police at Moreh, a border town, said one “insurgent” escaped from a quarantine centre on Wednesday. Personnel of 43 Assam Rifles had arrested him in May 18. As he was found positive, he was quarantined, sources said.

The Superintendent of Police has asked the Moreh police to register a case and open a probe. A search operation by the police and paramilitary forces has drawn a blank so far.

COVID-19 stranded People

With the bringing of stranded Manipuris from different states the state has now become an orange zone.  Once, Manipur was a green zone, but now the number of corona positive cases has increased to over 20 in the state. But still, several preventive measures have been set up across the state to stop the spreading of this virus as much as possible.

Trains from different cities have been bringing people of Manipur. And many quarantine centres have been set up in the state. Even though many quarantine centres have been set up, some people ran away from these centres.  This is a great measure taken by the Manipur Government in this harsh situation. Manipur again becomes an orange zone after 20+ COVID-19.

Let’s all pray for the people who have lost their lives due to this deadly virus. And lastly let us not forget our doctors, nurses, police, drivers, and all others who have helped us in this worst condition going around in this world.
